We build compliance software, so we hold ourselves to the same standard. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and the choices you have. It is written with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in mind, and we respect equivalent data-protection laws wherever our visitors are.
1. Who we are
This website, iusdot.io, is operated by iusdot (Pty) Ltd, a company registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) in South Africa, of 5 Harries Road, Illovo, Sandton, Johannesburg, 2196 (“ius.”, “we”, “us”). We are the responsible party for the personal information described here.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers the iusdot.io website only. Information that clients and their users store in the ius. platform itself is handled under the agreement with each client, not this policy.
3. What we collect
- Enquiries. When you use our contact form or email us, we receive your first and last name, business email address, company, the suites you’re interested in and your message.
- Technical information. Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic server logs — IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request — to keep the site running and secure.
We do not use cookies, analytics tools or advertising trackers on this website.
4. Third-party services
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. When they do, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address. Google’s own privacy policy applies to that connection. The map on our contact page loads from Google Maps only if you choose to show it; until then, no connection is made for the map. We also rely on a hosting provider and an email provider to run the site and receive your enquiries.
5. Why we use it
We use your information only to:
- respond to your enquiry and arrange a walkthrough you’ve asked for;
- follow up on that enquiry and any relationship that grows from it;
- keep this website secure and working properly.
We process it because you asked us to, or because we have a legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. We won’t add you to a marketing list without your consent, and we never sell personal information.
6. Who we share it with
Only service providers who help us run the website and handle email, bound to keep it confidential and secure — or where the law requires us to disclose it.
7. Where it’s stored
Your information is stored with our hosting and email providers in South Africa. If it is ever transferred outside South Africa, we make sure it receives a level of protection comparable to POPIA.
8. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as we need it to respond and manage the relationship, and no longer than three years after our last contact with you, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Server logs are kept for no longer than 12 months.
9. How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we limit access to the people who need it to respond to you.
10. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information about you, and give you a copy;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your information, where we have no legal reason to keep it;
- stop using your information, or withdraw a consent you gave us.
Contact us using the details below and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa), or to the data-protection authority where you live.
11. Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the effective date at the top.
